We pick you up at your hotel and then take you out to the historic Sumner suburb. |
| 9:45 am | From there it's a leisurely walk up Scarborough Hill to see the amazing view of Christchurch and across the Canterbury plains to the Southern Alps. Walk down to Taylor's Mistake, a volcanic black beach that is popular with the city's surfers. |

From there we drive to Sumner for a short stroll on the white sands of this popular family beach before heading to Lyttelton via Evans Pass. |

After a tour through this historic port suburb filled with 100 year old houses and buildings we take you through the tunnel to the Gondola. |

It's time to head up to the summit of Mt Cavendish and have lunch at the Gondola Café. |

Return back to the hotel. |

Arthurs Pass (with lunch)Just an hour from Christchurch you can find yourself in some of the most majestic alpine scenery New Zealand has to offer and you can get there on the world-famous Tranz Alpine railway.

We will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the Springfield Rail Station. |

The Tranz Alpine departs Christchurch and heads out through the city and into the unique New Zealand countryside of the Canterbury Plains. |

The train arrives at Arthurs Pass where you can do some sightseeing and browse in the wonderful craft shops. |

Enjoy a wonderful New Zealand lunch at a special venue |
| 13:15 pm |
After lunch we head out to a farm where there is a farm show, afternoon tea and the chance to do some exciting jet boating |

We depart the farm and head back to Christchurch |

Return to your hotel. |

Home and Garden Tour (with or without lunch) |

We pick you up at your hotel and drive to two or three selected homes in Christchurch where you can walk around the beautiful gardens. See stunning plantings of New Zealand native plants, as well as traditional English style gardens. |

Return to the hotel unless lunch has been arranged in which case you will have lunch hosted at one of the homes visited. |
